Jittery

New rule to live by:  no large lattes after 11:00 pm.  I never drink coffees and having one tonight was definitely a mistake.  It is now 5:15 am and there is little chance I will get any sleep before my 7:30.

But there’s another reason why I’m really excited too.  I’ve got this idea about hosting a film festival for 5-10 minute movies on campus.  Well actually, off campus — at my church to be exact.  It would be a great way for students and other members of the community to showcase their art and creativity and also to expose them to Northview at the same time.  It’s so easy to make movies these days, and I like to think that there are lots of people in this town looking for a reason and an outlet to let their creativity flow.  Is this a lame idea?  I really like it.  I don’t think there are any other film festivals on campus, not that I’ve ever heard of in 4-5 years here.

I can’t stop sneezing… BYE

UPDATE:  There is a film festival going on currently every Wednesday night through the month of October sponsored by Women’s Studies/African Studies called Making Feminist Connections through Film.  As appealing as that sounds to me, my guess is these aren’t student-produced films.

October

I was all ready to go to class today, and then it started raining.  Now, putting on a sweater, making some Campbell’s Tomato Soup, and curling up to a nice 4-hour lecture on heart arrhythmias sounds much more appealing!  I love the month of October!
